Even when it doesn't feel like it, you are the expert of yourself

Hey it's me, Becki

I'M A LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW)

Originally from outside of Boston, MA, I’ve called Los Angeles home for over a decade, where I live with my partner and our two quirky pugs, Rufus and Toast. You can usually find me discovering new restaurants around the city (I’m a foodie at heart), hiking to get some fresh air, spending time with family and friends, or traveling around the world for a little adventure.

I’ve always been passionate about the mind-body connection, and I love supporting my clients as they learn to integrate both. Life is a wild ride—exciting, scary, beautiful, and at times, overwhelming. Whether we’re celebrating the high points or navigating the darker moments, therapy is a space to honor all of it. I truly believe that healing is possible, no matter what you’ve been through. You’re never "too broken" or "too damaged." We all have the ability to heal, and therapy can support us in tapping into our inner wisdom and resilience, so can move forward and embrace the future we deserve.

I totally get that therapy can feel scary at first. That’s why I believe that sometimes adding a little humor can be such an important part of the healing journey. I find that leaning into it can make even the toughest conversations a bit lighter.

If you're ready to explore your own growth and discover how therapy can support you, I'd love to work with you!

01

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a non-pathologizing evidence-based therapy that recognizes that our minds are made up of a myriad of parts, sometimes operating in harmony and at other times in conflict with one another. By Identifying our parts and understanding how they are interrelated helps provide us insight into the process of how we make decisions, how we react to certain situations, and why we engage in certain ways.

02

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based treatment that helps reduce the emotional charge connected to distressing or traumatic memories and reduces trauma-related symptoms. Regardless of the nature or frequency of the truama(s), our mind and body can often feel stuck, resulting in re-experiencing these moments through our daily thoughts, emotions and body sensations. It is an effective treatment for Complex Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety and Eating Disorders, among others.

03

Somatic Therapy

Somatic based therapy is the process of helping us reconnect to our bodies, to listen to what they are signaling to us and to allow the expression of what they may be storing. Through techniques like breath work, mindfulness, and gentle movement, you will become more aware of how your body responds to stress, trauma, and emotions. We can work together to release tension, re-establish a sense of safety in your body, and foster deeper healing.

Expertise, Experience & Education,

  • I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, eating disorders, and self-esteem struggles primarily using EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic based interventions. These powerful modalities allow us to uncover and process deep-rooted wounds, reframe harmful beliefs, and reconnect with your inner strength. By combining EMDR’s trauma processing with the self-compassion of IFS, we can work together to create lasting healing and empower you to live more fully.

  • Beginning my career in community mental health for seven years, I’ve worked extensively with trauma and severe mental illness, holding roles as a Clinician, Supervisor, and Program Manager for the Department of Mental Health’s Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program. Advocacy and social justice are at the core of my work.

For the past 5 years, I’ve been in private practice, while also working at a trauma outpatient treatment center in Marina del Rey, where I continue to support individuals on their healing journeys.

  • I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California and am licensed in the State of California by the Board of Behavioral Science (LCSW#95510)
